I love it when I get a request for a vow renewal ceremony. It’s a special privilege as a marriage celebrant to marry lovers but when couples want to reaffirm their love and commitment in a formal way, it’s a very special privilege.

So imagine: You’ve been married for 10 years, you have spent a lot of time building your business and feel not enough time building your relationship and enjoying your family.

Romance is Alive and Well !

Your wife’s brother moved from the UK to Perth 2 years ago and they want you to visit. You have lots of time to dream and plan while driving from one contract to another, so here’s the plan! Because the original wedding was at the registry office, the Renewal needs to be very special.
What could be more romantic than a ceremony on the beach near Perth?

Mark contacted me and asked if I could help to put his plans into reality, but it had to remain a surprise. He booked wedding stylist Natasha Odenko to set the scene at Yanchep Lagoon and asked his sister-in-law to organise flowers, hairdresser and makeup.
This is where it gets amazing… he bought himself and his two boys outfits, then two rings, AND lastly, his wife Jade, a dress!!

A day after they arrived in Perth he took her down to the beach and asked her what she was doing on the evening of the 29th Dec. “I don’t know” she said, “what am I doing?” Whereupon Mark presented her with an invitation to their Vow Renewal Ceremony. She was overwhelmed and amazed! She is in charge of the finances and hadn’t noticed him spending on these unusual things. Incredibly, the dress fitted and she loved it.
The two boys read during the ceremony and everyone totally enjoyed themselves. They are all looking forward to more celebrations in the years ahead.
Thank you Mark for demonstrating just how incredibly romantic a man in love can be.
